Brushwork – Monday 11th February

I pretty much finished work on my Vonpocalypso 2013 force today, all I need to do is complete a bit of weathering and do some tidy-up jobs before I varnish the lot…

First off, a shot of the whole army:

It turns out that 2300pts doesn’t get you a lot of Marines!

I’ve gone for the Blood Angel codex for this particular event – hopefully I’ve managed to include a couple of things which are able to counter the three main threats in 40k; Anti-Infantry, Anti-Tank and Anti-Air.

Not that I expect to win or anything, but I won’t post my list until after the event just in case any potential opponents view this blog (unlikely but you never know!)

Here are some detail shots:

I’ve also taken a bit of time to finish off the Stormravens, including adding extra detail to the turret, which I’ll cover in a future post. I added some decals to them as well as some mild weathering to make them look a little more ‘used’. The weathering effects were done by adding streaks of watered down black paint – a bit of dirt/scoring rather than full on rust/battle damage.
