For my Tohaa, like my Aleph, I wanted a slightly darker scheme than the one used by the studio, and so this time I went for a blue and black colour scheme, loosely based off of Garrus Vakarian from Mass Effect:

For the blue areas I went with a Kantor Blue base, washed with Asurmen Blue, then highlighted up with Kantor Blue, then Macragge Blue followed by a final highlight of Calgar Blue (although I have an older alternative colour which is similar, although slightly brighter, but its name escapes me – it’s from the really old range from about 20 years ago!):

The black areas get highlighted differently depending on the type of material – bodysuits and some cloaks get highlighted with a mix of Charadon Granite and black, with edge highlights of Charadon Granite. Jackets get a highlight with a mix of Coal Black and black, and then a further stage of either pure Coal Black, and sometimes even an extra stage with some Kabalite Green mixed in too. Other black areas get my dark grey mix, with Mechanicus Standard Grey for edge highlights:

The orange of the Symbiont Armour and power sources in the chests of many Tohaa models is painted with Fiery Orange, washed with Agrax Earthshade then drybrushed with Fiery Orange, then Fire Dragon Bright, and then Bestigor Flesh:

White areas are simply Celetra Grey with Ceramite White highlights. Ranged eapons are painted Celestra Grey then given 3 coats of Thraka Green wash, while close combat weapons are painted Naggaroth Night highlighted with Xereus Purple, with the blades painted Glistening Green (a really old metallic green that GW used to make), washed with Thraka Green:

For the skin, I go with Rakarth Flesh, washed with Agrax Earthshade, then re-highlighted with Rakarth Flesh, while leaving fur and ‘hair’ (for want of a better word where Tohaa are concerned) just washed. On ridges on the cheeks I add a bit of Baal Red for colour. For Chaksa skin, I go with a Charadon Granite base, washed with Agrax Earthshade, then re-highlighted up with Charadon Granite with more and more Snakebite Leather mixed in through various stages, with a final highlight with some Bleached Bone mixed in. Recessed areas get a wash of Baal Red too:
